A critique on 5 films

Watched five films in 48 hours. Much more than too much I guess. So decided to bore the non-existant audience of my blog with a critique.

A Family Affair
A Family Affair (french film with english subtitles) screened at satyam cineplex Chennai. The most remarkable thing about the movie is that 95% of the movie is shot in a small bar. Story of three siblings. Movie depicts human emotions very well. How we mistreat each other in day to day life, how we think and give too much importance to silly things and how easily misunderstanding creeps in between us, how sutle things make us happy....

The dialogues are quite good and the humour in them is implicit.

The cinematography was great and one never gets the feeling that too much time is being spent in too little a space.

Harry Porter and the prisoner of Azarbak
Graphics are good, actors did their role well. Everything was nice. But not as interesting as the part II of Harry Porter. Surely worth watching!

Air Force One
This is not a new movie. Story is not convincing. Stunts are also normal. Worst of all the plane crash scene.

The French Cancun
A good Musical Comedy. It was refreshing to watch an old movie (this one was from the age of Technicolor). The dance sequences are really great and the music scores are quite good. Performance by artists are also good.

Raghu Romeo
A refreshing bollywood flick directed by Rajit Kapoor and produced by NFDC. I will recomend it to every one who is tired of watching the same old story line "Hero Heroin Villan .... fight...songs...happy end". It is a nice comedy about a guy who takes tv soaps as reality. The story is simple and something new. Vijay raj excels in the lead role and is supported well by other actors. The comedy is suttle and enoyable.

And before I conclude just a note on three other movies my friends watched.

Dev a big bore and a too much of preaching. Dont see this movie unless you like being preached and that too in Urdu.

Arya telugu movie... good one.. comedy scenes are good

Lakshya
Misses the target by miles! A confusion between a patriotic movie and a love story. Only two good things about it are Hritiks dances and the restraint in abusing the enemy!

so then! c u all

Welcome to America!

"Somewhere along the way, in the process of trying to develop a foolproof system of protecting itself against genuine threats, the US has lost the ability to distinguish between friend and foe. The price this powerful country is paying for living in fear is the price of its civil liberties." - Elena Lappin
Read Guardian Special Report titled "Welcome to America" by Elena Lappin about her detention.
